Heáfodbán play extremely Raw, partially acoustic U.S. BM with a nearly constant undercurrent of wistful, wood-windy and squeeze-boxed melodies. At least, that's what they do on the first tape. On the second, they lean heavily into longform, noisy, slowly evolving and ceaselessly unsettling Drone pieces. That's two complementary modes to soundtrack brooding moods. Also suitable to stoke up atmosphere of being lost in the deep, dark, foreboding wilderness of the way, way out West.

Even with everything that's come to pass (and all that's not), you've still gotta feel at least a little awestruck in the face of good ol' fashioned E-vil. When it continues to inspire addictively raw, foundational BM at this level of achievement. Symphonic keys and earworm flourishes in support of throwback bangers sporting tremolo riffs-upon-riffs-upon-riffs: sure, Nächtlich didn't get here first—but they sure as hell go all the way there.
