sunscape I Love this new album, consistently beautiful songwriting, as with his other albums, that just grow with every listen. I saw Chris live last weekend in Brighton and it was great to hear the stories and meaning behind the songs. I highly recommend you go and see him on tour at the moment... Favorite track: New Dying Day.

    DownByTheRiver9 thumbnail
DownByTheRiver9 Heard Golden Eagle on BBC 6 Music - Tom Robinson played it. I was aware of Chris Brain and this radio play jolted me into buying the album. Glad I did, it's really good, especially if you are into that alt.folk thing that's rooted in the songs of Nick Drake/John Martyn. Favorite track: Golden Eagle.

marigoldskies It is simply suxh a beautiful and sensible song, it brings back a lot of memories from my past with melancholy when times were golden, but the song gives me consolation, too. Thanks! Favorite track: Golden Days.

elainerietveld I love this album! Especially Crow Road Croft- a beautiful tune beautifully played.
    Master of Alchemy thumbnail
Master of Alchemy Eoghainn Iain Alasdair and the stomp of Rise ye Lazy Fellow are my favourite tunes on this album. The album has a much simpler feel than The Seer, perhaps reflecting more the traditional arrangements of small Highland communities. I didn't like the synth on Crow Road Croft as it doesn't feel in keeping with the folk arrangements, but what do I know? Favorite track: Rise ye Lazy Fellow.

followjohnreed A beautifully delivered version of a traditional song that is sung each Christmas Eve on the Hebridean islands of Barra, South Uist, and Eriskay. I think the tradition may carry over to this house from now on!
