9:32PM This album was the ones that got me into retrowave to begin with. Love the dark streets vibe with a hint of old 90's VGS music. Favorite track: Affliction.
    Rhys P. thumbnail
Rhys P. This album, these guys, wow. I feel like they've ever so slightly let other genre bleed through the music with great affect. Complex layering, multiple sections in every song and a diverse assortment of sounds. Crazy talented amazing music that just doesn't let up.

anabolic squirrel Been prepping for the 11\12\24 show at Higher Ground and listening to all of Mal's stuff. Pretty impressive song writer. This album chock full of catchy rockers. The more I listen the more I likey! The Did You Get What ... song is so reminiscent of the indie-slacker Gods Pavement. Stephen Malkmus would be proud. Nicely done, Mal! Favorite track: Did You Get What You Wanted.

zionengine History is our greatest horror story to date. Favorite track: Two Miles North-West.
    bcb723 thumbnail
bcb723 Not to get preachy & up on a soapbox but as someone with a passion for History there has been a shocking rise in the U.S. over the past four years of fascism, anti-intellectualism & a lacking understanding of basic historical facts in a good part of our population. "Babi Yar" is an intense imaginary soundtrack to a real historical nightmare that highlights the mass shooting perpetrated by the Nazis in the Ukraine during WWII. Read the summary - this shit could happen again. Wake up and resist. Favorite track: Babi Yar.
    Rotzettazz thumbnail
Rotzettazz As immersive as it can be - and in this case, it is really hard to assume. I listened to this album while reading some books about the Shoah and the Nazi concentration camps. What I read became extremely real with this soundtrack, particularly this feeling of constant fear.

VetsFetchin' Limp Wrist has always excelled at sonic pulverizing. It's really cool they've worked on some longer slow burn tracks as well. Love it! Favorite track: Systems in Place.
    Aaron Lloyd White thumbnail
Aaron Lloyd White This album has the power to move folks from heterosexual to heteroflexible. It's hard to sit still listening to any track so, it comes with me on jogs, at the gym, on the bus. Love it. Favorite track: Como Vos.
    barbykrusty thumbnail
barbykrusty I find Don't want you to be an excellent transition between the two parts of the album. The intro/outro gives it depth. I've learned drums playing this song. Favorite track: Don't Want You.

warpig69 A sweeping epic colossus of an album the likes of which I’ve not heard in years
Paraphrasing slightly from the Mighty Mogwai
“if mountain ranges and glaciers had a sound they would sound like this”
Still Motions have created a truly stunning emotionally charged debut that will resonate long in our hearts and minds Favorite track: Where You Found Me.

vanwolfster This album introduced me to the wonderful world of Deadlife and I can not stop listening to this album anywhere. It is fantastic and I hope to get a vinyl of it too. Favorite track: We Are One & The Same.
    Poesy Rider thumbnail
Favorite track: A Future Of Ultraviolence.
    Darik thumbnail
Darik This album has had a huge impact on my life this year. This is in my top 3 synth albums of all time and I have listened to many, many albums. Give any song a listen because there are no filler songs here, but at least once you should listen to the entire album and let its story unfold. Favorite track: Strands Unravel.
