Aleksei Tepljakov Hard to believe I've not heard of Thrailkill before Iearning of this album. Well, now that I have, I couldn't be happier. This album stands out quite a bit as well -- very well balanced with melodic content and intensity, but also a kind of fragility. In other words, perfect, as far as yours truly is concerned! Favorite track: Everything that is You.
    Petruvai thumbnail
Petruvai An intricately written nuanced shred-fest. Greatly enjoyable with head-banging moments as well as more subtle moments throughout. Gratefully not overly reliant on power chords! Jazz and classical in metal is a necessity in my mind. Favorite track: Aware.
    TONY ZAGORAIOS thumbnail
TONY ZAGORAIOS A masterpiece. These guitars are killing me!! Loved the whole album and each track has its own personality. Prog diamond!!

Erkadur What an incredible EP from one of the best in the progressive scene; another great release from Wes!

It's a short ride but every track has so much creativity and the album as a whole is very coherent as whole. Due to this, I often can't help but listen to the whole EP every time I revisit it. I cannot recommend this enough! :D Favorite track: Paracusia.
    Aleksei Tepljakov thumbnail
Aleksei Tepljakov Epic. Short but epic. Enough said. Favorite track: The Latter.
    Martin Bergmann thumbnail
Martin Bergmann I'm so glad I discovered Wes' music this year. It's a breath of fresh air, innovative, varied, emotive, exciting. Needless to say, Wes is an insanely talented guitarist, plus a great songwriter on top of that.

I bought the CD along with some other Thrailkill/Mammoth stuff and Wes was kind enough to sign each and every sleeve for me! The cover design is so well done too.

May his music travel far an wide and make as many people happy as possible! Favorite track: Paracusia.

Erkadur Via Luna has done it again! This album features more epically "fused" math-rock & post-rock with excellent storytelling. :)

This is more "mathy" than post but still has "still" moments present. This allows the album to breathe in the midst of all the energetic, rhythmic, and bouncy math-rock grooves.

Stellar production in terms of the imaging/soundstaging. Thanks! :D

Because of this, their compositional storytelling shines and you really feel "the adventure/journey." <3

Great stuff! :D Favorite track: RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!.
    Anton Juntunen thumbnail
Anton Juntunen Very nice album!!! Favorite track: If You Can't Vibe With The Peter Criss Jazz, You Must Be Dead.
    scott w thumbnail
scott w One of the catchiest albums I have ever heard. I happened upon a very brief clip of it while listening to the radio, and spent a while tracking it down. Well worth it. Favorite track: Pretend.

    Goosebumps.

A stunningly crafted ambience. Looming synth passages, tribal ancient-sounding drums, nature recordings, dialogue snippets and many, many other subtle details. This is all done in an attempt to capture the beauty of nature and planet Earth as a whole. Emotionally it's heartbreaking but also comforting. In my opinion all of this adds up to form one of the best pieces of music I have ever seen. Favorite track: On Earth.
    Heath Rezabek thumbnail
Heath Rezabek It's impossible to describe the lasting impact 1194 has had on me since I heard On Earth for the first time at 22 in 94. Days spent with friends making coffee and listening to this album (and its em:t kin), creating in common like tomorrow was vast and made of pure possibility. Ambient electronica owes 1194 a debt that is deep and wide. In honor of the time and space gifted me by this music, I'm going to break with tradition in naming my favorite track. Infinite space. Infinite time. woob 1194 Favorite track: Wuub.
    Ryall thumbnail
Ryall I think this might be my favourite album of all time. Exquisitely high production, wonderfully atmospheric, it's a modern day masterpiece. Favorite track: On Earth.
