mcnewg the only thing need be said, it's Townes Van Zandt. If you need more.... go away.
    Jason Kemp thumbnail
Jason Kemp I came to TVZ via Cowboy Junkies version of one of his songs. This time capsule from 1973 seems timeless and almost mesmerizing in a good way.
    Favorite track: All I Need.
    Cody Shaffer thumbnail
Cody Shaffer Any and every last treasure we can get from Townes will never be enough. So much beauty, sorrow, and joy. Favorite track: All I Need.

  4. Midde States EP
    by The Appleseed Cast
    supported by
    David Duma thumbnail
David Duma How I never came across this brilliant little EP when it was released, I'll never know...But this is seriously a perfect album. There's a bit of a raw, grittiness to the sound of this album that makes it feel like you're hearing it live, in the flesh every time it blesses your ears. Hard to choose a favorite between the album's title track or the epic closer, Three Rivers but must respect the throwback quality to their LLO albums so essential to this band's history. Favorite track: Middle States.
    esbj thumbnail
esbj this e.p. is insanely underrated/underappreciated. absolutely fantastic release from one of my all time favorite bands.

thoughtbubble99 I bought this for lost//found but this album has to be one of my best purchases. Not too many track-lists calm me down like this one. Each track is unique and takes you to different places, faces, and seasons. Favorite track: lost//found.

    The Tonearm thumbnail
The Tonearm "Sometimes I write something and think, 'What is this even about?' Then six months later, it's obvious—it was about something very specific I was going through. On this album, though, some songs were clear from the start. 'Even Mountains Erode,' 'Arrow,' 'Wyoming Dirt'—I knew exactly what they were about while writing them."
