shotgun suicide This album fucking rips, as usual.

Do you like black, thrash, or speed metal? If so, stop reading and start listening.

All hail the goat! Favorite track: Hunderprest.
    FriendlyGenderlessGoblin thumbnail
FriendlyGenderlessGoblin This album totally Rips. James is such a talented individual. The Crushing guitar work with the Hellish Shreiks OMG.
Hellripper never disappoints. All Hail The Goat. Favorite track: Kinchyle (Goatkraft and Granite).
    Bart thumbnail
Bart Just like their last album, at first I didn't take to it, then I was loving it. Same thing here. They are still firmly in the blackened thrash vein, but keep playing and expanding their music. The solos get a bit lond-winded for me, but holy hell, the primary riffs are just complicated yet unforgettable. Yes it's awesome as we hoped. Now let's get some live dates in the U.S. Favorite track: Baobhan Sith (Waltz of the Damned).

    T.K.S. thumbnail
T.K.S. You know it’s a good album when your favorite song changes every few days. “Might & Power” is still growing on me, but this debut album has already secured a place among my favorite contemporary heavy metal albums. Favorite track: In the Black of Night.

  4. In The Wild (Deluxe Edition)
    by The Interrupters

    42adam thumbnail
42adam Ska-punk-new wave – the roots wonderfully transported into the here and now. Cheeky and fresh. Favorite track: As We Live (feat. Tim Armstrong & Rhoda Dakar).
    DAS VILLAIN thumbnail
DAS VILLAIN The 'next wave' of punk/ska punk has arrived with The Interrupters! I just discovered this awesome band recently. They remind me of all the (seemingly endless and awesome) punk/ska shows I attended during the 1990's in the Seattle area, both local and 'major' bands as the defunct RKCNDY Club. Glimpses of punk's past coupled with the genre's present and evolution, The Interrupters are a breath of fresh air in a banal music industry of feckless copycats, unoriginal hacks, and corporate overlords. Favorite track: In The Mirror.
    congealedmeat thumbnail
congealedmeat There are some really great tracks on this album with great variety. "Burdens" sounds like a Toots and the Maytals cover. I keep waiting to hear Toots' voice when I hear it and it's fun to sing along to! "Get Down Moses" could be a Lee 'Scratch' Perry collaboration.

Solid album with awesome punk roots and so many of the other subgenres that make punk music awesome. Some of the featured artists on this album are straight up legends. Check it out! Favorite track: Burdens (feat. Alex Désert & Greg Lee of Hepcat).
    archeos thumbnail
archeos Jailbird is incredible, it gives me a heartache every time I hear the guitar and Hammond (?) blast together

    Void Worship thumbnail
Void Worship Very close in quality to their second album for me. It shows that Wytch Hazel keep delivering highest quality hard rock/heavy metal.

There's no weak track on here and it's an absolute joy listening to it.
    Favorite track: Reap The Harvest.
    aaronjameshay thumbnail
aaronjameshay I remember hearing this album during the dark days of 2020 and being (at that time) a former member of the band, I felt so proud of what Colin and the boys had done with this album. So easy to listen to, great production and songwriting. It definitely helped me through those strange times!!! Favorite track: Ancient of Days.
    rt3tech thumbnail
rt3tech Dry Bones got me hooked. Ezekiel 37 is an awesome, hair raising passage! Love the music! God bless!

Shisco A genius ragga-metal blend. Put a black rasta in a teleport with a metalhead, beam them both at once and this is what comes out of the other side and I absolutely love it.
I don't often buy music but when I heard Unstoppable, Gimme That Boom and Set Fazers, I absolutely had to. It is hard to pick a single favorite song. Favorite track: Unstoppable.

Jon M Music that makes you feel ok, and even inspired, about being human.
Also, it's extremely accessible and easy to listen to. Sakis Tolis has a commanding and very memorable voice that he puts over catchy riffs and drums. This rocks, really hard Favorite track: Imagination.

Urso X I loved this when it was originally released, and, toggling back and forth between the two versions, I’m happy to report this new remaster is definitely worth the dosh :)

Anyway, one of my two favourite records on the “Four Horsemen” theme (the other being Colosso’s outstanding Apocalypse, a must-listen). Sakis Tolis strikes again!

PS — The vocals on this 🔥🫠 Favorite track: Seal 7-(Revelation 8:1-6)-Silence in Heaven.
