    yurzC9 thumbnail
yurzC9 Holy moly where do I even begin with this band and specifically this album. One of the best listening experiences I’ve ever had and continue to have. It’s perfectly indie, with so much math rock goodness. it’s got feels and melody and wacky rhythm and all the good music things that make you come back over and over and over again. I freaking love feed me jack Favorite track: Berring Stone.
    aytches thumbnail

    Josh Datko thumbnail
Josh Datko This blew my mind. It's trumpet, drums, and vocals and it's amazing. Favorite track: Into The Night.
    drpepperderf thumbnail
drpepperderf Best jazz album of the year. I've checked out Yazz's past albums and they were all solid, but this new album is clearly the dominant force in her discography. The music on this record not only requires your attention, it demands it. It has such a commanding presence to it, I love it Favorite track: Dancing Barefoot.

    Robin Nitram thumbnail
Robin Nitram The world needs more music like this. Truly an outstanding record.
    Jallajalla thumbnail
Jallajalla Super duper album. Love it🫡
    Fewer Notes thumbnail
Fewer Notes This is phenomenal. All three players are on point, deftly musical and free of ego, and so in-sync with one another and in purpose to the music above all else. Just absolutely fantastic modern jazz. For sure one of the best albums of 2022.
    pjhwalter thumbnail
pjhwalter Everything, the opening track is the gateway to everything I love about this album. The poise and confidence in the playing, pointing the way, presaging the joy of the journey the music takes.

It's grossly unfair and difficult to pick out a favourite, each time I listen to these three there's something new so I'll stick with Everything to cover all three. A Better Ghost is sensational music. Favorite track: A Better Ghost.

    by ISIS
    supported by
    Harold N’Hiver thumbnail
Harold N’Hiver The world misses Isis greatly, but we take solace in the fact that they left behind a stunning legacy. This album is probably their best.
    The_Diesel_44 thumbnail
The_Diesel_44 The album that introduced me to ISIS and post-rock in general, and inspired a musical journey that is going on to this day. Many consider Oceanic to be the better album, but I have to disagree. For me, Panopticon is quite simply outstanding and without equal. Favorite track: In Fiction (Remastered).
    phlonkk thumbnail
phlonkk more than metal, this is transcendant, like a probe sent ito deep space, exploring that which has never been heard before Favorite track: Wills Dissolve (Remastered).
