Shoigunjinsho This is the perfect introduction to Sigh if you had never heard them before. This EP demonstrates all of Mirai's compositional genius. A psychedelic Japanese horror that spews forth its sonic black metal agonies accompanied by peaceful, dark, and wonderous synthesizer and woodwind instrument work. And it's got a fucking Coltrane cover I had never heard before on the original EP. My god. Favorite track: Shingontachikawa 真言立川.

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) Le théâtre, c'est l'étalage du faux pour aller vers le Vrai et plus il est codifié, plus il permet de dévoiler l'Invisible et de forger des rites. C'est tout l'enjeu de Ghastly Funeral Theatre 葬式劇場. Sigh est théâtral et n'a pas peur d'atteindre le grotesque (ces pseudo cuivres dans "Shingontachikawa 真言立川" et "Shikigami 式神") pour mettre dans un autre état d'esprit. C'est là que la magie noire opère : on fait preuve de ferveur envers tous les démons qui sont invoqués. Sigh excelle dans son art ! Favorite track: Shingontachikawa 真言立川.

Dementicus One of many releases I missed last year, and boy is this hitting hard now that I found it. Very similar to Morrow, which I love, but much quicker in getting the point across without losing any of the impact. Really great stuff.
