Holy crap...new Skull Servant!.!
This is such a MASSIVE leap forward for a band that was already damn good.
I'm not kidding. This is a full on AOTY contender. This stands up to anything l've heard all year. Honestly: it stands above almost all of it. Favorite song? Take your pick.

Hard Body Krang To me it feels like this album fits comfortably within an existing genre in a way that other xenharmonic music does not.

The unusual intervals sit in comfortably with the distortion and create a nice amount of dissonance. This makes the dynamics of tension and release extra satisfying. Favorite track: I'll Pay.

Ben Spidermilk is incredible and remains fresh and exhilarating after many, many listens. Favorite track: Disremembered.

threestarsmash You've heard of earworms, now try some giant earachnids... okay, I apologize for milking it. But, I tell you true: spider imagery really does capture the lush, off-kilter, slightly touched beauty of this record. Anchored by the comforting familiarity of the diatonic, but spinning xenharmonic prog melodies like nothing you're statistically likely to have heard before outside of a DMT dream, The Mercury Tree have made a proper prog record with Spidermilk. Solid contender for AOTY right here. Favorite track: Brake for Genius.
