  1. Owlboy OST
    by Jonathan Geer
    supported by
    Mongoosling thumbnail
Mongoosling For me, it's hard to tap into the innocent wonder you would feel from games that inspired Owlboy. But then I listen to Tropos' night theme and understand why there's still a lot of people that rave about old Super Nintendo games. False nostalgia is weird. Favorite track: Tropos (Night).
    clorous thumbnail
clorous Practically impossible not to love this original soundtrack for this game. The game was great to play, but thank you Jonathan Geer for creating the Hidden character of this game that made it wonderful. Your gift is truly remarkable. Thank you for sharing it with us. I truly am blessed by your music. Favorite track: Tropos (Day).

doodlingcubes honest to god picking a favorite is so hard; i have so many favorites!!! i love the game to bits and the soundtrack only amplifies it. Favorite track: Strato.

rifted The music has its own flavor and charm while resembling the Wind Waker soundtrack that I grew up listening to. I listen to this album nearly every day while I work
    plasticphoenix thumbnail
plasticphoenix With this album (and, really, all that they have released), ZREO and ATLYS have accomplished something that I consider to be incredibly difficult: recreating much-loved music from a much-loved franchise in a way that is both instantly recognizable but also wonderfully fresh and new. FW& FS is another phenomenal release, cheers to all the brilliant folks involved in making it happen. Favorite track: Departure & Pirates.

    Fludd-Stop thumbnail
Fludd-Stop Hit me like no other game, and this OST was a large reason why. Every track in this album just sends me back across the beautiful narrative this game weaves so perfectly. Favorite track: Shutter.
    phillipthealien thumbnail
phillipthealien The Beginner's Guide is incredible, and listening to the soundtrack now hits just as hard as it did when I first heard it in the game. Favorite track: Be in This Place.
    angelsalcove thumbnail
angelsalcove It's all fun and games until the shuffle algorithm puts on Machine

(Seriously though, it's actually really interesting how the order of the tracks in the album follows the downward spiral of the game almost exactly. Up until 10. Lecturing it's just about normal vibes/ambients and then 11. Leave Me Alone happens, and then The Horrors babeyyyyy) Favorite track: Mobius.

    CaptainofPie thumbnail
CaptainofPie that fight sequence in Black Mesa is still unmatched imo. this singular track makes it feel so intense, its just PERFECT! thanks Joel for one of the best game soundtracks of all time :D Favorite track: Surface Tension 1.
    giv_me_hell thumbnail
giv_me_hell One of my favorite FPS soundtracks. The guitar really fits the New Mexico desert atmosphere, and the ruthless HECU's takeover of the facility. I easily prefer this over the original Half-Life soundtrack. Favorite track: We've Got Hostiles.

    Fludd-Stop thumbnail
Fludd-Stop It is so fitting that the Xen portion of Black Mesa be separated into its own album. I've never seen a game completely flip the switch on its soundtrack identity, and especially not to such a degree of success seen here. Ascension remains the only track that gives me goosebumps every single time I listen to it-- just... Wow. Favorite track: Ascension (D.E.).
    thearchaeon thumbnail
thearchaeon Absolutely beautiful. The Ascension suite haunts my dreams in the best possible way. Favorite track: Ascension (D.E.).
