  1. Nattverk
    by Vetter/Fyrnask
    supported by
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica It took time for the digital version to become available (to ensure that the vinyl launch had a decent exclusive window), but Nattverk is finally available to the masses, and fans of both bands, and quality atmospheric / ritualistic black metal in general, will be delighted. Vetter takes a slower and more methodical approach before exploding into a torrent from which there is no escape, while Fyrnask releases their career-best 11 minutes here, a blizzard of melody and fury in perfect measure! Favorite track: Fyrnask - Torremåneds Natt.
    Epraghi thumbnail
Epraghi It's a 45rpm, be aware. 15 minutes on each side, a sort of EP, not an LP, but the music is very good. Unfortunately, they print the cover design on a shit paper which you can find inside the cover. Without any caption, any reason. It's a fire from which arise a strong arm which end in a fist clutching two serpents eating/fighting themself each other, at least a nice design but with no meaning at all. The same as you can see on the cover. No meaning... Favorite track: Fyrnask - Torremåneds Natt.

  3. ALUKTA - Merok

    Alice M. thumbnail
Alice M. Not sure why, but I only found it “good” with headphones, while it became a “must buy” after only one half of the album when I gave it another try through speakers.

A match made in heaven, with a compelling concept that suits the actors perfectly and brought out the best of their abilities.
    Elzear thumbnail
Elzear Superbe album. Une longue méditation qui vous transporte sur les cimes du désespoir et qui plonge ses racines dans le paganisme sacré. Musique chamanique et magique.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: Aluk To Dolo.
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator French / Belgian Atmospheric / Ethnic Black Metal / Doom. I am unsure what to expect but the available song is incredibly enticing. Rituallistic elements galore & the incredible line up of Brouillard & Déhà, what more could anyone possibly want? I am looking forward to this immensely! Highly recommended!!!

Edit: This is simply way beyond amazing! It has been on repeat, on & off, for the entire long weekend! I love everything about it & every track as well! I simply cannot recommend it enough!!!

YomaBarr Deadly rabid BM with a deathly tint and an occult tinge - band's been around for a while and this is their debut full length and it is criminally overlooked.

Alexandre The part where it kicks back in halfway through this first track floored me. Favorite track: Grailcrushing Wounds.
    Void Resonance (guitar ambient) thumbnail
Void Resonance (guitar ambient) The mighty Panegyrist return with two new songs - their first since the wonderful 'Hierurgy' in 2018. This track is packed with blastbeats, winding tremolo-picked riffs and heartfelt vocal harmonies, building to a climax around the 8-minute mark. Their performances and compositional skill remain as sharp as ever. Favorite track: Luciferous.

    Felin Frost thumbnail
Felin Frost “Ars Aurea Mortis” is a standout achievement in structural black metal: articulate guitars, disciplined rhythmic design, and textural vocals woven into a cohesive, purpose‑driven whole. Its clarity and restraint elevate it into one of Mascharat’s most compelling and finely executed works.
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 Occultism, alchemy and literature are common topics that offer inspiration to a lot of BM acts, but add masks and a haunted raspy voice from the abyss, likely from a dungeon of an Italian fortress, and you get the vibe of this esoteric opus "Ars Aurea Mortis", a ritualistic tale of transformation... Favorite track: Albedo.

acaDamien This release has so much amazing to it. From the riffs and melodies to the vocals and drums. I really enjoyed this a lot. Favorite track: And he walks....
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: King of Thorns.
    Giz thumbnail
Giz Honestly, scrap your end of year lists as if you’re a fan of epic black metal, your list is perhaps incomplete.
I am staggered and stunned. This is black metal of epic worlds and of legends. The musicality, the songwriting, the weaving of melody and buzzsaw, of howls and clear singing is majestic.
Damn, wish I could hear this live too.
Buy the hell out of it.
