  1. H'madcha: Sufi Trance of Morocco
    by Hive Mind Records
    supported by
    tim abdellah thumbnail
tim abdellah I don't think I've heard as lengthy and unbroken a recording of a Hamadcha ceremony as this! The intensification is slow-burning and constant but somehow precipitous as well. A fantastic find - thanks for sharing!

Dave Aftandilian Dizzying examples of how in losing ourselves utterly to the whirling colors of melody and rhythm we find ourselves hovering motionless in the perfect peace of the Divine. Favorite track: Hadj Said El Guissi.

    Darren Phasey thumbnail
Darren Phasey Brilliant new album from BUNKR. Caught him live at a recent Carbon Based Lifeforms gig in Birmingham. He played an awesome set. Had the pleasure of meeting him after the show. Really down to earth guy. Catch him live if he's in your area. You won't regret it. Favorite track: This Side Of Forever.
    tudoracid thumbnail
tudoracid A fantastic piece of electronica set in the great outdoors- except that this time you can feel the wind on your face and the stream on your feet. Yes, some melodic influence from Global Communication is very welcome but it’s very much its own thing- particularly as the pylons on the horizon might be friendly ufos. Favorite track: 96 Refraction.

Ken Stuebing Nothing not to love about this.
While I dig the full band, 2022 live recordings quite a bit, it is so wonderful to hear Course in Fable tunes in such pristine, solo acoustic form.
Great recording, great performances (killer Roundabout!), three awesome covers (hell yeah Anne Briggs!) and... is that a new song at the end? A decidedly Sir Richard Bishop-y sound to that one, hope there's more of that to come! Favorite track: The Roundabout.
