"Continuing right where the previous album left off" is a statement that could apply to most Incantation albums, but some more so than others. Here, it certainly applies, and that's a great thing. Onward to Golgotha created a genre-defining sound, and Mortal Throne of Nazarene takes them one step closer to their immortal throne. The atmosphere is strengthened, at times eerie and always dark, and the highlight riffs are more abundant. Incantation's best? Hard to say. But I wouldn't argue it.
