simontimmy Absolutely amazing. I have yearned for music which sounds "new", as proof that music culture is actually moving forward and discovers new grounds, without also sounding purely experimental. I am not very knowledgeable about music, but for me, this is "it". Thanks for your work.

  2. Terry Riley In C

giventofly87 I've been a sucker for In C as a piece of music for a long time, and any re-interpretation is a must-listen to me. Imagine my delight at finding this Indian Classical interpretation, which is beautifully ruminative, meditative, and dynamic in a whole new way. In C was already a revelation; but this takes it into a fully spiritual realm. Must listen. Favorite track: Cells 42 - 47.
    Allan Cronin thumbnail
Allan Cronin There is no favorite track. The album is a unified whole, a loving homage to Terry Riley. And Riley’s study of Hindustani music comes full circle here as these (predominantly) Hindustani musicians bring Riley’s work into their own practice. Far from the pejorative notion of cultural appropriation, this is true fusion. Everybody wins. This is genius.

Mohan Thomas Quite fitting. BRM put a joyful short video for this album here. Worth a watch/listen if you want a sample: youtu.be/FX1vzJQMxzk
