Stomping, grooving, deceptively complex musical madness from these gone-too-soon post-hardcore titans, Crimes mixes sweet hooks, acidic riffs, wild left-field instrumentation, throat-shredding vocal fireworks, and cryptic, deranged lyrics into a freakish, colossally gnarly package. Crimes is brain-twisting, paradigm-busting chaos that simply gets better with every listen. This is truly some of the best, most exhilarating rock of the 2000s. Favorite track: Live at the Apocalypse Cabaret.

Dakota One of the most underappreciated folk albums of all time in my opinion. 2020 is a unfortunately predictive album of its time and has continued to age well thematically (yikes). Also, this album also happens to feature some of the coolest folk fusions I've ever heard in my life. Classic status, Richard Dawson the 🐐. Favorite track: Civil Servant.
