  1. Tales Of Ancient Prophecies

bonkmaykr Twilight Force has a very unique feel to their music, with the medieval setting of Rhapsody of Fire, mixed in with powerful strings, trumpets, and violins akin to an action movie, one that feels like something from a fantasy novel. For their first studio album, this sure is probably their best. Favorite track: Twilight Horizon.

erickreator This is the album that introduced me into As I Lay Dying, an absolute masterpiece in Metalcore and Extreme Metal, my favorite song it could be Repeating Yesterday, i have listened to this record for almost 16 years and it always hit... 🤘🏻

Obsidian One My introduction to metalcore. Before this album, my CD collection contained only death and black metal. Of course, I was familiar with hardcore — a housemate at the time was in a hardcore band — but I never really got into it. As I Lay Dying, for me, was the bridge between hardcore and death metal. "The Truth of My Perception", probably my favorite on the album, was one of the first metal tracks I attempted to learn on guitar as a beginner. An important album for me. Favorite track: The Truth of My Perception.
    WoundedInterest thumbnail

erickreator I love this record as you can't imagine, one of the best AILD records, my fav track is Forsaken, but this is a non-skip album! 🤘🏻
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One An Ocean Between Us is packed with melodic yet hard-hitting metal. Being more of a black/death metal enthusiast, this is the only metalcore band I've followed over the years. Nearly all the tracks are solid and some are outstanding, though while revisiting this album for this review, "This Is Who We Are" struck me the deepest, a reminder of earlier times. The 1-min starting at 2:25: "Now this is who we are. I'll never know the answers and I'll always wonder why." Strong from start to finish.

xodiak Absolute Heavy Metal masterpiece. Every song is amazing and it's so hard to pick a favorite. It's really a tie between Evil, At the Sound of the Demon Bell and Black Funeral. Favorite track: Black Funeral.
