kingofthechickens More awesome from these folks. caught 2 of the full band shows and they were excellent too. Flippin' good noises made by people who clearly love what they do. Wrap yer lugholes around it and enjoy.
    hag thumbnail
hag There's such a special, untimely presence to James's music, a kind of honesty that floors me. Tugs the heart strings in a beautiful, life affiming way. Favorite track: A Forestful Of Rogues.
    Neil Harrison thumbnail
Neil Harrison Sam and Jeanie McGreagor is such a thing of beauty. vocally, lyrically , musically ... perfect. ends and leaves me wanting more - which this album supplies in copious amounts. little pieces of imperfect perfection. Favorite track: Sam and Jeanie McGreagor.
    Ursula's Crow thumbnail
Ursula's Crow I love Nina for her contribution to Sparklehorse's 'It's a Wonderful Life'. Here, her voice blends soothingly with James Yorkston's vocals.

    hershelroswell thumbnail
hershelroswell I experienced my first significant bereavement this year (a beloved childhood dog), and listening to Hieron has helped me confront my grief both before and after his passing. Thank you to all the Friends - and especially to Jack, who is truly in fine form in this album (Tell Me instantly makes me well up) - for creating such a beautiful story. Favorite track: Under the Boughs.
    ill-omens thumbnail
ill-omens Been giving a relisten to all their music lately casually, as I try to aslo catch up on road to palisade and finally start palisade and...just on this alone and really giving time to the music and the memory of the scene, and the music is such a key in how they all bring to life such beautiful and tragic characters. special mention to Tell Me for being exactly that. A god more human than divine, going to his death for the sake of his son and how i get a little teary listening to it. Favorite track: Tell Me.

  1. Machinarium Remixed

The Sea (C418 Remix) The Sea (C418 Remix)
    supported by
    Taylor thumbnail
Taylor For daily listening I almost prefer this release to the standard Machinarium soundtrack. If you like some electronic influence, this is very additive to the original. Favorite track: The Castle (Ed Critchley Remix).
    89o thumbnail
89o YES!!! Repetitive ambient dance music for the win! Favorite track: Mr. Handagote (Baiyon Remix).
    Orpheus thumbnail
Orpheus This was just right. I saw this in my feed, looked it up, and started playing Machinarium again. Simply amazing, especially when the beat drops. Favorite track: The Glasshouse with Butterfly (Orbital Remix).

  2. Machinarium Soundtrack
    by Tomáš Dvořák
    featured track 00:00/00:00
    The Bottom The Bottom
    supported by
    Taylor thumbnail
Taylor Such great soundscapes for working, the Machinarium Remixed album is fantastic too, perhaps better for daily listening. Amanita will always be one of my favourite studios! Favorite track: Mr. Handagote.
    89o thumbnail
89o A perfect cacophony of random sounds that somehow all works together, a beautiful interpretation of the world of Machinarium. Favorite track: Mr. Handagote.
    Simon Goričar thumbnail
Simon Goričar One of my favourite albums, ever. It has been more than a decade since I first heard the Machinarium soundtrack, and still the incredible cosiness and the phenomenal sense of the robotic (yet humane) world it helped build remain with me. Favorite track: The Glasshouse With Butterfly.

  3. Hail to the Thief (Live Recordings 2003-2009)
    by Radiohead
    supported by
    ajatuslapsi thumbnail
ajatuslapsi Hail to more pleasant surprises! 2025 keeps on giving (some good tunes, at least).
    T_eaLeaves thumbnail
T_eaLeaves I had to buy it. As a huge Radiohead fan, this really scratches the itch. This is better than the studio album, even with less songs. The crowds had a lot of energy in these recordings, it feels like you're with them.

This is an angry, focused, punchy album - live or not. One does not need to read between the lines to understand it. Really, to me, it's a more conventional sound for Radiohead, after Kid A's time in the spotlight.
    mariamusic998 thumbnail
mariamusic998 A rare document of Radiohead at one of the most experimental and chaotic peaks of their career. A hidden gem every fan was waiting for. Favorite track: 2 + 2 = 5 (Live).

    marvindelmorse thumbnail
marvindelmorse Darren Korb's work is always incredible, but the Hades soundtrack in particular absolutely SLAPS. The game is amazing, but it is Darren's score that elevates it to one of the greatest games of all time. Thank you for your incredible work, Darren! Favorite track: In the Blood (feat. Ashley Barrett).
    algaeguy thumbnail
algaeguy GAME GOES HARD BUT THE MUSIC GOES HARDER Favorite track: The Unseen Ones (feat. Daisuke Kurosawa and Masahiro Aoki).

Paul Kater Amazing sounds from amazing voices. So glad I stumbled into it - and I don't even remember how.
    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper Purely a capella, this one. Traditional Icelandic songs and chorals delivered with our Viking darlings angelic voices.
Not for everyone, for sure, and not for every mood - but soo beautiful!

The career defining Heyr himna smiður is a big favorite, of course, but I went for the short closing song, Góða veislu gjöra skal.

PS Details about the songs can be found by clicking the songs (or info)... Favorite track: Góða veislu gjöra skal.
