mmoonn I bought this prior to a trip to Morocco and my god it was a joy to jam as we drifted through the southern tier of the country. Spiraling and mystical.

sahelsounds Hypnotic Berber folk from Morocco. Led by Hassan Wargui, Jace met these guys during the Beyond Digital project a few years back. There is more info floating around the internet now (hence the project) as well as some videos. But it doesn't necessarily need a context to evoke the high lonesome sound of the Atlas... Favorite track: Taldrar N Lawlia (Flowering of the Wise).

Paul Bareham Norwich is a fine city, but I had no idea it was capable of producing such extraordinary music. I'm not always sure what Germ Lattice are doing (and what they're not doing seems equally important) but it moves things around in my head.

geryonfan A much needed aesthetic statement within the current musical landscape.

Most intriguing record I’ve heard sonically, structurally, and vibe-wise in such a long time. Very convincing compositions of hypnotic grooves and soundscapes, take the listener into the record’s own world: an abandoned underground chamber in the British countryside, full of broken objects, dirt, shred, and rust.

A realistic depiction of a post-apocalyptic earth. Like Kanye’s Yeezus, but nobody’s left to sing.
    Favorite track: Ground Truth.

Paul Bareham My favourite album of the year, Germ Lattice seem to have gone back in time in order to make the music of the future.
    finnegans_cake thumbnail
finnegans_cake sounds like it was beamed in from another world. practically without anticipators. primitive and futuristic. lo-fi and meticulous. genuinely groundbreaking. Favorite track: Misprint Maker.
