This album was the soundtrack to my son’s first year of life. A bright and warm beginning, with a dark turn halfway through. Suddenly he was diagnosed with cancer at six months old. From there things got stranger, murkier, more incomprehensible in the album and in our lives as he underwent chemo and became a hollow shell of the happy baby he was before. With the second to last track, Dry Retch, a harrowing surgery. With the final track, a warm and happy recovery.
Thank you.
