  1. Sliced Life 1997-1999
    by Donnacha Costello
    supported by
    Aaron thumbnail
Aaron Warm, melancholic, beautifully produced minimal techno.
    Diarmaid Collins / Lustbader / DK+DI / PresidentAndroid thumbnail
Diarmaid Collins / Lustbader / DK+DI / PresidentAndroid Like suddenly finding a hidden room in a cupboard, or a crisp $50 note in a coat pocket, this collection of unearthed tracks is an exciting treasure trove of quality atmospheric minimal tech-house. These pieces have aged beautifully, like fine wine, recalling an era where his take on melancholic electronica ranked alongside Swayzak, Pole, et al. Favorite track: Mehringdamm.
    Fallingbadgers thumbnail
Fallingbadgers Reminds me of the emotional heft of machines Favorite track: Hearts Will Break.

    Martin Doudoroff thumbnail
Martin Doudoroff Spare, vast, depopulated. Similar seeming process to one two three four five six, but stretched out. Favorite track: Prairie.

Phlow aka mo. aka mosonic thumbnail
Phlow aka mo. aka mosonic I am so happy, that I finally could buy and listen again to »Kenshō«. Wonderful, soulful droning :) Favorite track: Kenshō.
    Martin Doudoroff thumbnail
Martin Doudoroff Not my cup of tea.
    billbillbillbill_ thumbnail
billbillbillbill_ 'Mouvements' can be seen as the spiritual successor to 'Together Is the New Alone' in that it carries with it the gorgeous minimalism and beautifully shaped tone poetry. It successfully bridges the gap between his duo (or trio, depending on who you ask) of 2015 albums and his early works. This one goes in deep right from the beginning and doesn't let up the #drone throughout the entire 42 minutes and 40 seconds. Scintillating music from an essential artist. Favorite track: Kenshō.

  4. Constant Bearing, Decreasing Range
    by Donnacha Costello
    supported by
    SS Chill thumbnail
SS Chill Love the nautical theme to this release. I feel the tug of the waves, especially with Slipping Under. It's like letting go, being carried away... Favorite track: Slipping Under.
    Origami Bulldoser thumbnail
Origami Bulldoser Why was the cover removed for this album? Bearing at least had a nautical correlation, so water wasn't absurd. Now, the implication seems to be knowing direction innately.
    theyurinator thumbnail
theyurinator Totally pulls on my heartstrings. I love Donnacha Costello's sounds forever. Favorite track: Seven Bells.

    by Donnacha Costello

    Martin Doudoroff thumbnail
Martin Doudoroff This is nice. Much more compelling (to me) than Mouvements, so I guess this is the Synthi record I was waiting for from D.C. Still, super spare and minimal. Favorite track: four.

Artur „Dry retch” over and over again❤️ greetings from Poland Favorite track: Dry Retch.
    tsuga thumbnail
tsuga This album was the soundtrack to my son’s first year of life. A bright and warm beginning, with a dark turn halfway through. Suddenly he was diagnosed with cancer at six months old. From there things got stranger, murkier, more incomprehensible in the album and in our lives as he underwent chemo and became a hollow shell of the happy baby he was before. With the second to last track, Dry Retch, a harrowing surgery. With the final track, a warm and happy recovery.

Thank you. Favorite track: Always A Part.
    Matteo Grilli thumbnail
