    by Martyn
    supported by
    Lars Sieling thumbnail
Lars Sieling I love this album a lot! Makaya McCraven must be your brother. The album feels both intimate and spacious, like late-night jazz filtered through dub, hip-hop, and electronic minimalism. Favorite track: Phantom Jazz.
    Μaπ Β thumbnail
Μaπ Β Really great album!! At many different points I found myself thinking "wow this moment is perfect, this is my favorite." As soon as it ended, I wanted to go back again! Favorite track: When The Sleeper Wakes.
    Svebbe thumbnail
Svebbe Martyn’s album return on his own 3024 imprint is a masterclass in spatial awareness, trading the club's weight for a breathtaking exploration of rhythmic precision and jazz-fueled textures.

    AJ. thumbnail
AJ. At its best it sounds like the Stone Roses covering The Rolling Stones, while heavily stoned. Wild, inventive and full of ideas. Well worth checking out. Favorite track: Krilltastica.
    Dave T. thumbnail
Dave T. Listening to Skyjelly is an incredible experience, yet a rather hefty and busy-sounding release you'll want to pay close attention. The energy expelled on the double album has massive percussion build-ups and zapping guitar riffs juxtaposing such a cooing and soft-spoken Skyjelly Jones who is never drowned in the mix but rather accentuates the blistering fury. That's not to say the ballads should be ignored, because they are just as sweet and beautiful in melody and lyricism. Get this tape~ Favorite track: Acosta.
    Ilya S thumbnail
Ilya S Nothing like Skyjelly out there - a totally original sound which, hopefully, will take over the world soon Favorite track: Subway Rider (2nd album begins here).

thesonnamedset Randomly picked up this album at my favorite record store that's mostly punk and metal. I was like " Oh shit, 5 bucks? Yes please! "
It's loud, chaotic and full of self hate. Absolute banger! Favorite track: Addicted To Punishment.
    Thomas Adams thumbnail
Thomas Adams Punk fans might welcome this. I would've welcomed this in 1981, which is when I incorrectly guessed this was released. Vocalist figured out best vocal phrasing to complement the band while they nail a range of noisy punk styles developed circa late 70s/early 80s. Favorite track: Delayed.
    Ann-Marie O'Malley thumbnail
Ann-Marie O'Malley Most exciting band in Glasgow, no competition. Unbelievably tight and intense live. Can't get enough. Favorite track: Delayed.
