Charlie Moonbeam Is there anything that better accompanies the inherent melancholy of a day-long downpour than the cello?
    John Simms thumbnail
John Simms Is the sound of any instrument more profound than that of the cello in the hands of a master? (Well, maybe the viola da gamba.) Here is exquisite cello music from the 14th to the 21st centuries played by Charles Curtis, including four compositions of his own. "Unfinished Song" will make you a believer.

ritze_patrice fantastic album. i love how tyshawn doesn't do the 70+ minutes thing which cds kind of "call for", but always gives the music plenty of time and space to breathe. the last fifteen minutes of part 3 are one grand finale. holy ears!

Christi Menges Jack Rose's music is a mystical trip through my own mind. No artists quite captures that sense more than him. Raag Manifestos is part of a trilogy of his albums, at least for me, that conjures this mystical journey. The others include Red Horse, White Mule and Opium Musick. A truly unique and talented artists. Favorite track: Hart Cranes Old Boyfriends.
