Ares It is almost impossible to belive how good this record is. Wasn't a big fan of the first release but this album just hitted all the right spots and I can't help but find myself listening to it EVERY, SINGLE, DAY.
Just realized "Death on black wings" is about Khisanth attack on the heroes of the Dragonlance.
My love for this band is evergrowing, this record have changed my life.

Please, never stop making music 🤘🤘 Favorite track: Keepers Of The Gate.

RJ Even the most sturdy of tower shields cannot protect you from the onslaught of riffs and blistering guitar solos Visigoth unleash on ‘The Revenant King.’ Grab your trusty sword, don’t look back, raise a first to the sky, and get ready bang your head. 8/10 Favorite track: The Revenant King.
Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass) thumbnail
Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass) I was super late to this, but better late than never. An exceptional debut album, stronger than most bands first efforts, and shows an immediate high quality craftsmanship for songs. Favorite track: From the Arcane Mists of Prophecy.

  4. Ave Mortis
    by Cromlech
    supported by
    VileEffigy thumbnail
VileEffigy Astounding. Stellar song structures, distinct riffing style, ultra heavy contrasted with a truly epic sense of melody, and actual guitar solos. A manly man's album that conjures the feeling of being in an RPG fantasy world. Buy it.
    thomasw_ thumbnail
thomasw_ Making order from chaos, Cromlech embraces certain dissonances which produce colour. Normal chord movements are not disregarded, but rather the tonality is chromatic, so as to weave tensions that dance madly on the edges of order without following fully into being empty of form. Often the songs contain references in riffs to earlier riffs, weaving the unity of the composition through permutations between at first distant and unrelated themes, eventually resolving in some thematic conclusion. Favorite track: To See Them Driven Before You.

    ElTifo thumbnail
ElTifo I'm a Running Wild fan since tender age. Obviously Cederick Forsberg also is...but he got things a little further. Quite impressive work!! Simply love this album. Kasparek would enjoy this as well, no doubt about that. As for me, all Blazon Stone collection is now purchased....so...yeah.
    Forto Reibus. thumbnail
Forto Reibus. One day not so long ago I was listening some Running Wild playlist in youtube, then something called Blazon Stone popped up in recommendations.
    The rest is history.

Victhor the Viking I discovered metal at the when I was a wee lad of 10, two score and one years ago, so it is rare to come across a new album that I would dare say is one of my top 10 of all time. Well, Aedris has joined my top 10 metal Hall of Heroes. Hearkening back to true traditional heavy metal, I believe that this album will be hailed as one of the best concept albums of all time. All Hail Possessed Steel. Favorite track: Spellblade.
    Erik Gordier thumbnail
Erik Gordier This is one of the nerdiest albums off the year! Love it! if you're a fan of D&D this is a must have Favorite track: Spellblade.
    Tim McLelland thumbnail
Tim McLelland Took a couple listens to appreciate this disc, but it is quality. So "Traditional" it seems a bit quaint compared to modern music ... but there is a ton of shit to like here. Fantastic disc. Oddly enough, the best song is the "bonus" track ... but all of it is amazing! Favorite track: (Bonus Track) Nobunaga.
