Keef Apes are excellent at psych chill when they want to be. Favorite track: Blood Knot.
    E'sPsychedelicBreakfast thumbnail
E'sPsychedelicBreakfast I finally felt like getting this album right after pre-ordering 'Soy Dios'. Still don't know why I didn't let the Dead Sea Apes in my Bandcamp collection earlier. Such a hidden gem of music, just like any song/album of them so far. Favorite track: Pharmakon.

Terrific album, this;atmospheric, moody and slowly unravelling; Dead Sea Apes remind me a bit of Guapo and Earth in their approach (that's a big compliment as far as i'm concerned)...unpretentious, genuinely explorative and a little bit portentous...just right!

cnefdt This album is a magnificent triumph. It is more flowing but less hard than the previous 2 albums. Please check out the video on YouTube for 'The story behind the album'. Moving stuff.
    Lukas Kramer thumbnail
Lukas Kramer Great new MONO LP, they're not reinventing anything but they're confident with their style and execution. The second half of the record really shines with giving itself some space and toning it down a bit. Would love for albums with interludes like Silent Flight, Sleeping Dawn for instance, it just makes for an even better listening experience.
Looking forward to seeing you live again. Favorite track: Hedera.
    Linette thumbnail
Linette This gets my vote for Album of the Year so far. 10/10 stars. I'll be playing this on repeat for a long while. Favorite track: Winter Daphne.

    davekillcountysmith thumbnail
davekillcountysmith I love this album because I love this band. Their sound manages to seem both excitingly original and yet comfortingly familiar, both at the same time. Favorite track: Slug.
    Jim Taylor thumbnail
Jim Taylor Wonderfully emotive indie rock. It's like Pavement and Life to Experience had a baby. Favorite track: Milo.
    Kai Ingo Selck thumbnail
Kai Ingo Selck Love this song and like the album a lot! Favorite track: Slug.

    by Dorthia Cottrell
    supported by
    nomadylan thumbnail
nomadylan This woman is able to make masterpieces with just her voice in Windhand. This acoustic solo work only confirms her greatness. Pure emotion. Let it capture you! Favorite track: Gold.
    Lute FP thumbnail
Lute FP Dark, haunting, acoustic Americana, focused around the soulful and lush female vocals. This is serious mood music. Glorious, bordering on epic.

The evidence suggests I am quite late to the show.
    effthecloud thumbnail
effthecloud Dorthia is incredible. This album is the most soulful record I've heard in a long time. I love the lap steel sounds. So much atmosphere. BUY THIS. I'd love to own it on vinyl.

    Luke thumbnail
Luke If Dead Flag Blues was a young man's fantasy about the end of the world – a certain relish to the terror of impossible depths – near-30 years later, the end of the world is here. There's wolves at the door. But we are no longer alone watching the world burn. We are explaining why to our wide-eyed children who are still experiencing moments of joy as we watch the glow on the horizon creep ever nearer. About how this is our fault, yet there's nothing we can do, for them. Favorite track: Dangling Blanket From A Balcony (White Phosphorous).
    patrickmalka thumbnail
patrickmalka so good that I already worry this is going to be a one off collaboration. the individual talents involved have created something singular and apart from their excellent primary bands. if they choose to make more, I will be here for it. Favorite track: Uncloudy Days.

Kamar00n Hand in hand, I’m with you until the end. So let’s enjoy the time we have until then, eh? Favorite track: Hear the Wind Sing.
    J. Wright Reviews thumbnail
    J. Wright Reviews OATH was the first MONO album that released after I first heard their music, and thus, it holds some nostalgia value for me. Even without nostalgia bias, it's a brilliant release. To me, it feels like the anthem of the ideal marriage: a man and woman selflessly in love through it all. It carries that same sense of beauty throughout, even in the tense or melancholic moments. Taka seems to have struck a perfect balance on this album: lush melodies and immense soundscapes from the modern Beethoven! Favorite track: Hear the Wind Sing.
    cnefdt thumbnail
cnefdt This is my first taste of Mono, and it is a very good, very solid album.
