Mylo This album is such an inspiration; to be able to make a project with everyday resources and express yourself freely.

Some of these songs could pass off for videogame OSTs; I can definitely see where your inspirations for The Advantage came from.

colleenhasmail I have this album on repeat! So uplifting and fun while being very intricate with melody, texture and counterpoint. More please! Favorite track: Little House.
    StrangeFlow thumbnail
StrangeFlow The second album bei Lophae! While it has lots of connections to the first one (probably because it's been recorded in the same sessions as the first one) it appears to be more experimental. Some compositions remind me of the jazz standard form, but like little house for example, they break out of that construct at some point and become quite unexpectedly wild. Love that psychedelic effect loaded guitar approach in jazz and looking forward to upcoming releases. (and some gigs hopefully!) Favorite track: Little House.
    Ex-Friendly thumbnail
Ex-Friendly Lophae’s 2nd album of the year is culled from the same sessions that led to their brilliant debut ‘Perfect Strangers’. Going deeper into the extraordinarily rich improvisational skills of the quartet, the Greg Sanders led outfit of Tom Herbert, Sam Rapley and Ben Brown have delivered another impressive collection of instrumental songs with elements of South African township jazz, West African guitar wizardry and a singular rhythmic complexity that is as thoughtful as it is immediate. Wonderful. Favorite track: Little House.
    Philip Graham thumbnail
Philip Graham More jazzy goodness from Lophae! Could there possibly be a third set of songs from this spectacular recording session? Favorite track: Ball In A Street.

    Brent Davis thumbnail
Brent Davis NYOS I daresay is unique - a mutant form of post-rock that incorporates math-y (almost grindcore-like) elements.

Amazing duo & album. Favorite track: Lo4.
    bandfan25 thumbnail
bandfan25 A groovy, riffy album with a fascinating, ear-catching mixture of math and post rock, making for frenetic and sweeping atmospheres!
