This is killer. It sounds like the soundtrack to Crybaby 2, the sequel John Waters never made to the original classic.
This is 50s R&B/doo-wop all the way, with upbeat rhythms, prominent and driving guitar work, and that classic Big Sax thing they did so well, so long ago. And the vocals are fantastic, doing what I call that “squeaky Billie Holiday thing” that I love so much.
This album is pure fun.
