Ego Broken Eluvium's music stands the test of time so well. Like good wine, it just gets better with the years, so I've come to welcome each new release as a gift that I will treasure all my life. Ego Broken The first track alone is worth getting the full album. The menacing dissonance of the opening chord coming in waves is up there with the best names in ambient music. But then with each listen the whole album unfolds and here's a very inspired release. This is so masterfully crafted and sounds incredibly well. Hats off. Favorite track: We Once Believed We Owned The Sky.

Csaba Rozinyak Requiem for Johan is among the all-time best that Hammock has made. There is a flow of beauty to it that really gets under your skin. Some songs just do it so effortlessly, and this is among them. For me it stands tall not only on this album but in Hammock’s entire discography. I only wish it had been longer, even more detailed and more explosive such as more of the strings you get around 3 minutes into the track, but to be fair it will be on loop for quite some time as is. Favorite track: Requiem for Johan.
