  1. Liquorice
    by Hatchie
    supported by
    Fabio Viola thumbnail
Fabio Viola Stunning! The first four songs in sequence are exhilarating. The production is spot on and puts Hatchie's voice right where it can shine. All the instruments are crystal clear but still hazy like the album's sonic references require. Great compositions too, I feel that compared to Hatchie's previous efforts this collection exudes confidence.
For my taste this is AOTY material. Favorite track: Carousel.

Ilaranen Merely a sketchbook of the great man's work. Would be nice if they could be a bit more fleshed out than they are. I keep expecting something more. Favorite track: Without a Word.

    Csaba Rozinyak thumbnail
Csaba Rozinyak Requiem for Johan is among the all-time best that Hammock has made. There is a flow of beauty to it that really gets under your skin. Some songs just do it so effortlessly, and this is among them. For me it stands tall not only on this album but in Hammock’s entire discography. I only wish it had been longer, even more detailed and more explosive such as more of the strings you get around 3 minutes into the track, but to be fair it will be on loop for quite some time as is. Favorite track: Requiem for Johan.

kanannas Tony, you did it here, another mastepiece as Geese & the Ghost , wow
    Nickie Harte Kelly thumbnail
Nickie Harte Kelly Anthony Phillips should need no introduction to fans of progressive music. This gorgeous continuation of his Private Parts & Pieces series does not disappoint, beginning with the lovely Wychmore Hill Suite. Electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, and one vocal track make up the instrumentation. The effortlessness of Anthony’s guitar playing belies the intricacy of the pieces, and marks him as a true master of the instrument. Favorite track: Sarabande Noir.
