Christopher Tomke I caught Mean Mistreater's set at Legions of Metal Fest in Chicago, and they kicked a truckload of ass. I was honorbound to buy this album.
Colin M. You are unlikely to find a more honest album than this one; Mean Mistreater play highly energetic heavy metal with so much earnestness and enthusiasm I dare you to not get swept up in it. This album truly rules and I genuinely would change nothing. Killer! Favorite track: Visions.
Bucky Reminiscent of the good old days of blasting heavy metal cassette tapes in a beat up pick up truck, down by the river drinking cheap beer without a clue in the world. Who isn't at least somewhat excited about razor sharp riffs with nostalgic metallic harmony?

bmurator Australian Black / Doom Metal. A one woman, Em or Emily Støy, project. This is a very unique work! It spans many different styles, from a little DSBM to Industrial metal & Rock. The music is very deeply intertwined with the lyrics which it further accentuates. This makes the entire album a deeply emotional & emotive experience imho! I love the precise diction which allows you to follow almost all vocals no matter how harsh! There is a new album due out soon as well... :) Highly recommended!!!

H.L. I still enjoy listening to melodic, 90s-influenced black metal, so TORVER are right up my alley. The frequent use of string instruments and incantatory spoken-word passages is particularly charming and distinctive.
