Mark Kirby She brings the spirit of Nina Simone through her own unique voice and attitude. Every song is dripping with emotion, the kind best expressed though gospel and soul. The spare instrumentation of stand-up bass, piano, organ and ghostly strings. Some of the moods created remind me of Kind of Blue (the song "Fix It"). All in all and awesome record.more...
