This is Archspire's best offering to date. Which is high praise considering Bleed the Future was a masterpiece. These guys don't take themselves too seriously and they have every reason too considering the sheer talent exuding from every single one of them. This i think is their best quality as a band. Inhuman musical ability, paired with extremely down to earth human personalities. Never stop making music you crazy bastards.

Archspire is always hell of fun! Especially with this new effort. Imagine highly melodic Blasting Symphonic (death) metal accompanied by a zombified ghost of the mighty scatman John in a really angry and pissed mood.

This mix of speed, melodies and death metal potency is something I was longing for some time. The whole band is great but fast guturals really got me here.

I’ve had this record bookmarked since it released. it’s taken me a shameful 8 months to ‘get around to it’. I grew up on hardcore and metal, of countless styles, but in recent years I rarely hear a band that compels me. Yet here I’ve found a unique sound. There are too many sonic influences at work, but I’ll call it blackened post-hardcore—and it fkn rips.

This album reminds me that life is worth carrying on for, so bleak and so hopeful at the same time. Truly a beautiful piece of art.

Agriculture take the style and spirit of black metal and shape (or grow) it into something entirely their own on The Spiritual Sound. Moments of high intensity riffing (My Garden, Bodhidharma) are balanced by Zen-like segments of introspection. While not appreciable by the trve kvlt types among us, The Spiritual Sound is a resounding success in modern metal.
Favorite track: Bodhidharma.
very good. i listen weird music since the last century and i don't understand why I've never heard about you before.

BTBAM continues to blow me away with each release. How is this band so consistently releasing banger after banger?!

Perfect all the way through. Grinding and relentless but still subtle, with layers of overlapping structures. A more accurate favourite track would be 'everything except omega severer', which is still not bad by any means, but stands out as more conventional.

Another BC better late than never discovery.
Energetic, roaming riffs, bass for days, hyperactive drumming, good vocals, it's all here.
On repeat for 2 days now, wouldn't be surprised if it stayed on it for 2 more.

An album of immense power, creativity, and replay value wherein each listen reveals a little more, Etemen Ænka is where DVNE shed the obvious influences behind their sound and solidified their own take on progressive post-metal. When you hear it said that a band is “tight”, this is a great example: a group of musicians so totally in sync and playing as one, instead of merely several talented individuals performing together. Enjoy these glorious sounds, courtesy of the Kwisatz Haderach!

Its really long, but on a road trip, in the shower, or at home it's quite beautiful to have in the background. The second track especially is a soundtrack for anyone trying to move on. Among my favorite albums of 2021!

I don’t why I didn’t give this a proper listen sooner, after coming across it some time ago. This is perfectly-executed melodic black metal, with some beautiful neo-classical guitar passages.

Any black metal album with a great cover art representing "The Wild Hunt" gets my attention; but add occult BM that is also very melodic and aggressive with a professional production and I am all in! This is absolutely majestic. Glad to have found it in the BC feed but I see my usual suspects here all confirming that I am in the right place :)

Australian Black / Death Metal. As has already been pointed out & praised, this is big & powerful & aggressive & frantic & ever so intense! Incredible instrumentals & fantastic vocals as well! I am starting to wish I had bought the entire discography now... :) Highly recommended!!!

35 minutes of some of the best music that DVNE has ever crafted, at NYP?! Absolute robbery! I loved the studio versions of these songs (along with every other song on Voidkind), and these live recordings hit just a bit harder, if this can be believed. Problem is, now I am stuck dreaming about Arrakis…

These guys are just on another level right now. Throw money at them! I buy everything they put out and they just don’t miss. Great live set!

These guys helped wake me up from my Rip Van Winkle sleep on metal. They are a terrific and true heavy metal band, and this live set, though only four songs, captures their essence quite well. At NYP this should be quite popular - but please throw a few bucks their way.
