  1. Bestial Burden
    by Pharmakon
    supported by
    qalsy thumbnail
qalsy My exceedingly dumb ass thought it was a good idea to eat something when I listened to this for the first time. Then "Primitive Struggle" comes on...I lost my appetite but I can't say that I regretted it...

Very evocative, very visceral shit, I love it. That closing track in particular had me hiccupping from the distress but it was moving all the same. Favorite track: Bestial Burden.
    dimant thumbnail
dimant Incredible record oozing with subtle complexities Favorite track: Intent Or Instinct.
    mrs.sardonicus thumbnail
mrs.sardonicus Beastial Burden is one of the most disturbing things I have ever listened to. Distorted screaming and laughing over incredible violent harsh noise lashes and drones. A legitimately terrifying listen, possibly the scariest Pharmakon album. Favorite track: Autoimmune.

  2. Celestial Blues
    by King Woman
    supported by
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One I really resonate with the concept of "Lucifer, falling from the heights". I'm more of a black and death metal guy, but every now and then a doom rock song hits me instantly. "Morning Star" is that song. I've been revisiting it ever since downloading the album. The other tracks will need more listens, but I'll definitely be following King Woman going forward. Favorite track: Morning Star.
    macbxth_mp3 thumbnail
macbxth_mp3 Ill admit, Im not a huge metal fan. I only artist tied to the metal sphere that I listen to are Faetooth, Sleep Token, HIM and BABYMETAL. Maybe the occosional blackgaze or early 2010s nu metal song inbetween. This artist was reccomended to me as a Lingua Ignota fan and wow! The vocals are just mwah! Favorite track: Morning Star.
    scullymulder69 thumbnail
scullymulder69 This album has legit changed my taste in music. There is something very sweet and real within the brutality of the sound, such a beautiful combo and drenched in narrative and feeling. This has been my most listened album of the last two years.

technically_damaged "Necropalace" takes a new direction toward Symphonic Black Doom, a cosmic, ethereal, and nocturnal result that invites us to immerse ourselves in new forms. Fans of Limbonic Art, Diabolical Masquerade, and Necromantia will worship Necropalace and become one with the call... Favorite track: Dragon Dreams.
    trenxch (friend to toads) thumbnail
trenxch (friend to toads) epic songs and mystical ballads. Favorite track: Blackheart.
    JulieFern thumbnail
JulieFern Fantastic album, one of the best metal albums of the year so far, the guitarwork is insane, the atmosphere is beautifully gothic and so so melodic, a solid 9.5/10 Favorite track: The Night Has Fangs.

qalsy Had a prof. of mine play "No Natural Order" in class one time and it was the most transfixing shit. This whole album is something else though, I had very vivid vignettes play in my mind for each track and the overall experience was sublime (and I mean 'sublime' in the sense that it scared the shit out of me). Set aside some time and let this noise rush over you, very evocative stuff. Favorite track: Somatic.
    Tommy LaCroix thumbnail
Tommy LaCroix i just do. isnt that enough?
    Marcus Barrick thumbnail
Marcus Barrick I got into the most intense meditative psychedelic-like state listening to this album. if you can close your eyes and give undivided and nonjudgmental attention to the experience I guarantee that you will have a journey. maybe with a little weed, but this album is visceral enough to get to that state sober. Favorite track: No Natural Order.

Anathe Mal Like being trapped among the cenobites, dragged deep into your emotional core, then tenderly raked over the coals splayed wide for all to see. Favorite track: Sour Sap.
    alvarfj thumbnail
alvarfj Harsh noise- romanticism, is that a thing? Well, it is now. Despite the unforgiving, punishing thumps, squelching noise and blood-curling screams, this is a very human album, with a deeply felt emotional core. Favorite track: Milkweed/It Hangs Heavy.
    kynge thumbnail
kynge I offer all to you mother. Guide my will to never fade in interference Favorite track: Pitted.
