settheraytosophie Along with Early Music for Late Humanity, this has to be one of my all-time favourite albums. Beautiful blend of imaginative flair and what little we know about medieval folk music (due to much of it not being preserved in favour of upper-class hymns), with inspiration from the traditional techniques of Europe and the Near East. I imagine that the street music of the common people must have been similarly enchanting. I credit Vox Vulgaris for the majority of my academic interest in this genre. Favorite track: Rókátanc.

Talon Godin What a wonderful interpretation of medieval music! This is a must-have for anyone interested in tunes from the days of old, albeit with a modern touch. 10/10 Favorite track: Rókátanc.

abi 🛸🎻 A vibrant and dynamic take on medieval music! Delivering these tunes and their variations within a slow, almost trance-like percussive buildup is genius. It feels really human, like I'm sitting in on a folk session and watching the players pass the song around between them. Highly recommended!! Favorite track: Cantiga 166.

bmurator US / Hungarian (G) Black Metal split. Some great atmospheres. Love the contrasts between the nice melodies & the harsh vocals. The way they feed off each other as the songs progress. Gormoth is slightly more melodic & ISSFLL is more progressive but both are great & recommended! Favorite track: the glass box.
