Dr. "Buzz" Frenzy (Matthew J Hesse) thumbnail
Dr. "Buzz" Frenzy (Matthew J Hesse) I've enjoyed Mark's playing for decades, flitting in and out of jazz, prog and experimental. This may be "none of the above", but an entirely engaging experiment regardless. Moving, and occasionally darkly humorous.

It reminds me of the great albums Hal Willner used to put out, marrying diverse artists to perform unique tributes on a theme (Thelonious Monk to Nino Rota, Kurt Weill to Walt Disney) -- except here, of course, Ribot is a through-thread. The theme's the title... power to the people! Favorite track: Rata de dos Patas.
