Joe Borreson Warm, uplifting instrumental pieces that drift between modern classical, and ambient jazz in their own realm of existence. Nice variety of textures & tones and another solid record from Tonal Union which is releasing one great album after another. Favorite track: Correspondances.

256 Pi / The Wonky Angle A collection of tape loops, lo-fi abstract minimal house and foggy ambience that comes together in a fragmented but surprisingly effective narrative arc that hits on a lot of strong emotional notes. great stuff! Favorite track: A Fleet Of Celebrants.

yakuzadog14 I almost shouted "that was live?!?!?" when I heard the crowd applause at the end of Daves. I can't overstate how precise these guys are despite having no composed material. Everything is performed flawlessly yet the music is far from sterile or unimaginative. The band will often explore a groove, but the contours of that groove will changes as the band makes their way through it. Records don't often leave me struggling to come up with any analogues the way this one has. AOTY contender. Favorite track: Daves.
