  1. The Fall

rikm Shadow Age have done a great job of capturing a particular sound and feel with their work, something that appeals on a nostalgic level but also succeeds as both current and relevant on it's own merits.

"The Fall" finds Shadow Age connecting on a familiar level yet their sound remains uniquely their own. I find myself coming back to them again and again, always enjoying what I hear...

Andy The mood on The Fall seems to be a litlte more shoegaze than on thier other releases. A kind of shoegaze early cure or chameleons !! But the mood is so late night John Peel that you half expect the radio reception to fade in and out. Excellent. Favorite track: The Fall.

Ryan Johanson I bought this mainly because I find Luminosas incredibly catchy, but the other songs are quite good as well. Favorite track: Luminosas.
    Art Fin thumbnail
Art Fin Nice, moody post-punk with dreamy guitars that reminds me of Sad Lovers & Giants, Modern Eon and The Cure. It's gloomy but romantic.

rikm A perfect blend of Darkwave, Shoegaze, and nineties nostalgia that remains vital, current, and very present.

On their self-titled release, Shadow Age have successfully tapped into a musical ideal that stands the test of time.

brantly Interesting neo-goth-y-indie-darkwave. The vocalist does have a Dave Gahan tone sometimes, but the band is more a mix of Chameleons, a less histrionic early Editors and contemporaries like Forever Gray. But, really, if you think dark post-punk meets 'Rio' era Duran Duran, you've pretty much nailed it,

Nice to have this timeless piece. Quite haunting & stark, contrasted by its beauty Favorite track: A Portrait of A Young Man Drowning.

rikm Three tracks in a classic nineties Goth style that speak to the timeless appeal of that era, songs that take the listener back to late nights in dark smoky basements and dancing until we blissfully collapsed...

    Highly recommended.

Andy The road to black metal is also paved with the darkest indie and my somewhat eclectic tastes have travelled these roads before. These clanging guitars, up tempo yet morose vocals belong to a bygone age. Thank you Shadow Age for breathing life into a genre that brought a dark pleasure to a whole generation. Favorite track: Silaluk.
