  3. Never Die
    by Matt Jencik & Midwife
    supported by
    Sabitsuki thumbnail
Sabitsuki This record changed my life in someways. The apocalyptic vibe, with the droning vocals and Matt’s sound really make this record standout from the rest of Midwife’s discography. I love it Favorite track: Flower Dragon.
    Sutekh Barque thumbnail
Sutekh Barque Pre-ordered - which I almost never do now - on the strength of the preview track, which has a fantastically elegiac Grouper-in-Apocalypse-mode vibe I can't wait to hear more of.

  5. Electric War
    by Little Barrie
    supported by
    yakuzadog14 thumbnail
yakuzadog14 I love how sparse this is. Barrie doesn't use a ton of effects on his guitar unlike many psych rock players these days and I think that difference works to his advantage. The cleaner distortion forces you to pay closer attention to the notes he's playing, and you can hear how deliberate and controlled his style is. The rhythm section is great, too; they're groovy, punchy, and in the pocket, just as they should be. A refreshing take on the power trio format. Favorite track: Creaky.
    PIDGE thumbnail
PIDGE Electric War has the energy and precision of a nuclear weapon. This album should make Little Barrie a household name.
    Favorite track: Spektator.

    Onde Børn Onde Børn

    ganondox thumbnail
ganondox Some of the most incredible black metal I've heard, both amazingly creative while surprisingly traditional. Normally I'm not a fan of putting acoustic songs in metal albums, but in this case they are just too beautiful to do without. Favorite track: Nordlys.
    Lanna E thumbnail
Lanna E I can't choose a favorite track. The entirety of this album is best enjoyed in full. I love the melodic elements. The dark fueled themes. I love the light voice to the harsh voice. It is completely amazing! I had to buy it twice: cd (for the car) and vinyl (for at home). Brilliant!
    Brandon133 thumbnail
Brandon133 Beautiful music, I can not wait to hear this on vinyl Favorite track: Onde Børn.
