You only need to hear this record once to know that FAKE DUST are ones to watch.

Big shout out to grindcore drummers. These dudes could be making decent money playing jazz clubs and giving lessons but they decided to use their talents to play some of the dumbest shit on the planet.
Favorite track: Cooked At Conception.

I've seen some references here to this album being "Country Music". This is not a country album. Not even close. If anything its Roots Americana informed by the Blues and Traditional Folk.

Best way to thank you guys for coming to State College that I could think of.

I don't even go here but I saw SB live and was absolutely blown away. Anwar shreds like a virtuoso and makes it look effortless. Brandon weaves gorgeously intricate bass and then picks up a guitar and puts your faves to shame. Aidan is a force of nature on the drums. and Jasmine goes from haunting ethereal lilting to "oh that's how it sounds when a soul is torn apart in hell" in nothing flat. They made me love screamo and I can't wait to hear what they do next. I have zero chill about this band.
Favorite track: SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE IS DYING OUTSIDE MY WINDOW.

Live and the Old Quarter is the best Townes CD. It captures his amazing songs and genuine sense of humor. He seems to be so comfortable at the Old Quarter. I lost one of my CD's and love having a digital copy. I hope the Van Zandt family are getting royalties from the finest songwriter of his time. More people need to hear Townes.
