Maddie Ashman could have made these absolutely transcendent songs with her incredible voice and composition skills in equal temperament but that would have been too easy. It would left too much on the table. To do this in just intonation, it's so much more impressive and requires relearning how to sing and play all the instruments. It feels natural when it shouldn't. It's like ripping the veil off a new dimension of music that was previously relegated to experimental composers and academics.
