YomaBarr If this is their demo I want more of that. Occult blackdeath band no-one knows anything about, me likey! So I guess I'll go to see them in convulsions on stage and I'll tell you.

    update
been there, seen that. Just two guys with flour bags on their heads making a lot of noise, and quality noise it was! Give them a charismatic vocalist in front and the world is theirs.

ps. the new logo is better ;)

    RJ thumbnail
RJ From the same mastermind behind Kaatayra and Bríi comes Vauruvã, an atmospheric black metal project in similar folksome fashion, just a lot of more aggressive. I am a fan of the style of music this guys puts out. 7/10 Favorite track: Jequitibá-eté.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail

YomaBarr Don't expect another Korosta (which is great). This has the rehearsal sound quality (jammed?), this is completely insane - and this is great as well. Just differently.

    K-Dawg Harrowing, majestic, overwhelming, glorious

"Når Solen Går Ned" couldn't help but tug at my Scandinavian heartstrings.
A beautiful contrast of pandemonium and angelic innocence. Favorite track: Når Solen Går Ned.

Luke Despite being a fan of Kaatayra and Brîi, I somehow managed to miss this project. You'll find many of the sounds you like from those projects and an extra bite added by vocalist, Bruno Ribeiro. If you don't love the last track I don't what to say to you. Favorite track: Viração.
    Wheels of Mercury thumbnail
Wheels of Mercury Another forward-thinking release from a project of Caio Lemos. The dude's a genius; there is no other way of putting it.
    𝖔𝖌𝖔𝖘𝖙 thumbnail
𝖔𝖌𝖔𝖘𝖙 Rock, black metal, 90's post-hardcore; I wish I was inside the minds of Bruno and Caio to unveil why they keep creating such MAJESTIC albums. The poetry and the sound is definitely an overwhelming experience.

porcelainheart- I skipped over this when it first came out, not sure why but as you can see, it's never too late to do the right thing. Three tracks of some of the easiest listening on the black metal side. This has so many intricately layered folk acoustics that worm their way into your head and stay there for hours, a unique blend that I'm surprised hasn't been done as well before. It translates into some of the best songwriting I've heard in black metal period. FFO Akvan and Mare Cognitum. Favorite track: As Selvas Vermelhas no Planeta dos Eminentes.
    boinky37 thumbnail
boinky37 I've been obsessed with this since buying it. There's so much anguish and yearning packed into these songs, but also hopefulness and determination to move towards a better world with the old world as a guide Favorite track: Legado.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica Caio Lemos is brilliant no matter the banner under which he chooses to release atmospheric black metal, and if he keeps it up, I might stop referring to him as the Brazilian Panopticon, and start referring to Austin Lunn as the American Kaatayra! Vauruvã is the (slightly) more melancholic and sombre manifestation of Lemos’ artistic vision, and I think Mar da Deriva is the second-best thing he’s made, right behind Toda História pela Frente. For 35 minutes, this will take you to a better place. Favorite track: As Selvas Vermelhas no Planeta dos Eminentes.
