lncitatus One of the best solos in Death Metal that I have ever heard. Favorite track: I Feel Nothing.
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One One of my all-time favorite death metal albums from earlier times. 'Nailed to Gold' might be Immolation's greatest track, featuring my all-time favorite guitar solo, peaking at 2:51 — glorious. 'Here in After' was the first track that got me into the band, introduced to me on a compilation CD, and 'Burn with Jesus' and 'I Feel Nothing' are also classics. Nobody does death metal quite like Immolation. A triumph of '90s metal. Favorite track: Nailed to Gold.

    Murphrygian thumbnail
Murphrygian One of the better death metal albums of all time! But is it even the best Immolation album? 🤷 To me, their best album is whichever is playing at the moment. Favorite track: Fall from a High Place.
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One 'Higher Coward' is probably Immolation's most ferocious track in their discography. Holy hell, what a way to detonate the album! While the middle tracks never grabbed me like the opener, the album closes with 'Close to a World Below' — another potent and powerful composition. Close to a World Below, along with their two previous albums, Here in After and Failures for Gods, ranks among the most elite in the genre. And 'Close' might have the greatest death metal album cover ever. Favorite track: Higher Coward.
    fyeahmetal thumbnail
fyeahmetal In a catalogue of wall-to-wall greats, this has to be in the conversation for not only greatest Immolation record, but one of the best DM albums ever. It has that extra something - fury, atmosphere, unrelenting conviction - that pushes it beyond skillful genre exercise into armed audio warfare. Each band member is on fire. If you want to introduce someone to Immolation, you'd do well to start them here. Favorite track: Father, You're Not a Father.

Kris Faust Immolation is synonymous with consistency, technical prowess, ferocity, and monumental songwriting. Descent is no exception. Real contender for album of the year.
    eManRenaissanc thumbnail
eManRenaissanc My favorite band, still thriving 40 years in. There's no one else like 'em. Just ordered the vinyl and had to buy the BC version too, of course.
    KenshirO thumbnail
KenshirO Crushingly heavy, oppressive and filled with a dark epic sound that many death metal bands could never hope to achieve. Tops even Acts Of God. Fantastic production and some of their best work ever. I recommend listening to it with a pair of Heavys 🎧 on. It will make your testicles explode Favorite track: Attrition.

    Fallenin77 thumbnail
Fallenin77 🇺🇸 A triumph of classic Death Metal, Death Never Sleeps distills 90s fury with technical precision. An altar to entropy where razor-sharp guitars meet pristine production, creating a symphony of broken bones. Moore’s vocals act as a manic wail presiding over the end of days. This is aggressive, intelligent, and soul-crushing act from GLORIOUS DEPRAVITY, that ignores trends to focus on pure sonic devastation, a vivid landmark for the genre. ⛧ Favorite track: Carnage at the Margins.

sashavonkarl74 I own and absolutely loved the last CD dedicated to "Big Ed" Kemper, so it seems that the Austrians made a necrophiliac sequel to their serial killer album with a "Ted Bundy" themed opus, I can't wait to hear the rest of the new album.

Kathmandude AES DANA was one of the first artists and producers grabbing attention in the early 2000, along with the Ultimae family. Nevertheless the years that went by his music sound so fresh, deep, emotional and ultimately original. I might say it's some kind of present past and future. PLUR.
