Going Places sounds like an adolescent nightmare where soft loaves of bread float down from the sky while buildings of steel collapse deafeningly in the snow—familiar, slow, and inescapable.
That image sustains the album’s weight, giving the drone a catastrophic intimacy, strangely unfolding a suspended sense of dread.
