  1. How to Rescue Things
    by Bill Orcutt
    supported by
    Ted Killian thumbnail
Ted Killian Some will listen to this and only hear pastiche. But the shear ecstatic beauty of what Bill Orcutt is serving up here literally raises goose bumps and sends my heart soaring with joy. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

RodStench thank you for this gorgeous music - humanity needs music like this more than ever <3

Nate Lund Surprisingly soothing played quietly amid a hellacious duloxetine withdrawal. Favorite track: Old Hamlet.

  3. Requiem (N. America Customers)
    by Goat
    supported by
    drbaz thumbnail
drbaz Am I the only one to believe that Goat is actually Abba. After imbibing the seriously hallucinogenic reindeer juice for 50 years they decided to make stupendous, thrilling music that would erase all memory of that crap they churned out in the 70s
    Perry Willig thumbnail
Perry Willig Trying to describe this album is like trying to describe how I feel about flowers. Favorite track: Djorolen/Union of Sun and Moon.
    Levrikon thumbnail
Levrikon My favorite albums of 2016, #8.
Goat's best album yet, more laid-back and beholden to the groove than previous efforts. Percussive and ultra catchy faux-ethnographic music, Requiem transports you to the folk music of an imaginary country. Favorite track: Trouble in the Streets.

Favorite track: Yor Zarad.

  5. From Newman Street
    by Kassi Valazza
    supported by
    tkoch19606 thumbnail
tkoch19606 This album continues to grow on me with every listen, and the album sounds fantastic. I love the work that the band does, yet somehow my favorite track at the moment is the final track, From Newman Street, which is just Kassi and her guitar. I love the sound of her guitar in that closing song, as it somehow reminds me both of Bert Jansch and also old Delta blues. For me, Birds Fly, Roll On, Small Things, and Weight of the Wheel are also favorites. Favorite track: From Newman Street.
    martinourada thumbnail
martinourada Everything Kassi Valazza has released so far has been pure magic, and From Newman Street is no exception. Unique, deeply personal and soundwise great. And I just love the way she sings. Favorite track: Shadow of Lately.
    Willem thumbnail
Willem What a joy listening to this album! My favorite song varies from day to day as I'm still getting to know them better... I'm looking forward to the Netherlands show very much :-) Favorite track: Market Street Savior.

tkoch19606 I think side 2 of this album is a perfect album side. Long Way From Home and Welcome Song are incredible. Folk psych at its best. Favorite track: Long Way From Home.
    Chase Gartner thumbnail
Chase Gartner Listening to Kassi Valazza is like wandering through an abandoned ghost town overrun with natural beauty. There's a sense of awe, nostalgia, heartache, a balance of what has been and what will be. This album particularly feels very ghostly, drifting through one track into the next, trailing you through stories of self-discovery, introspection, lost loves, and renewal. Such a gorgeous album by an artist that is highly underrated in every way Favorite track: Room In The City.
    mullethut thumbnail
mullethut This album is amazing. I don't think Kassi knows nothing because she sure knows how to make an amazing album! Favorite track: Corners.
