This is wonderfully intense & intricate. An album that every lover of BM needs to have! highly recommended!!!

Ippocalyptica Conifère is not as well known as it should be, being one of the brightest lights of the mighty Québécois black metal scene, but I am glad to see the universal acclaim here on Bandcamp for the aptly-titled Blood Tax. I think some people make too much of the punk and crust elements here as this is first, foremost, and always a raw BM album, but I do get how the infectious energy and melodies call to mind punk sensibilities. I wish this band a long and prosperous future - they deserve it! Favorite track: III - Le Grand Hyver.
