Earthbeam Incredible work, Jairus. Beautifully done, I get stuck listening to Mawu on repeat.. that Sax speaks to the Soul and moves the Spirit <3 Favorite track: Mawu.
    Dmillz thumbnail
Dmillz Pre-order vinyl arrived today, and I’m taken by just my first listen! Side A gently brings me into this sonic world (a Malcolm Mooney appearance!) before side B explodes the horizon with sax squelches and beautiful alien sounds.

TeeDubyaBee This album is a killer follow up to one of my favourite recent LPs, 'Anemones'. Travelling a similar astral path to T.Power's classic 'Self Evident Truth...' album, this is beautifully melodic ambient jungle of the Moving Shadow style with deep Radiophonic/IDM notes. The G-Funk whistle and pitched up vocals on Falling is a highlight for me. Proper headphone listening gear. Favorite track: Falling.
    seudoname thumbnail
seudoname This is an incredibly danceable album! Melancholia got me up during the Blumenfantasie Listening Party, I couldn't just sit still and listen

    Fewer Notes thumbnail
Fewer Notes This is the album that started the policy that I had to keep my office door closed at work because the squares got all flustered by the dissonance or whatevs.
    symphronik thumbnail
symphronik Terrific continuation and expansion of the work of AACM and Sun Ra, this music stands on its own. Excellent!
    Paolo Cavallo thumbnail
Paolo Cavallo If this admirable work of an admirable artist is tied to a Sci-Fi novella by Nicole Mitchell herself, where can I read it? I would absolutely love to do that! Favorite track: Listening Embrace.

    andybeagle thumbnail
andybeagle All of it! OUT OF SIGHT!!!! from the slight Steve Reich influence on a bit, a touch of this, a smattering of that, the carl Wilson vocal, the sonic boom-erang all over it! wow. album o the year?! 🥵😁🫡💥
    gonzoride67 thumbnail
gonzoride67 a massive change in vibe, to clean, so sharp yet so familiar. the lyrics, now i can read them, are amazingly deep. totally get it how early Ska influenced the ability to write about tragedy with a danceable beat. so many sounds, so many imported influences. hands down, the album of '22!

Kevin J Gerzevitz Eclectic and real. Music documentation at its best. A global snapshot of the early 20th Century.
    Marco Baroni thumbnail
Marco Baroni I was a bit scared, but this is actually not only a history lesson, but, most importantly, FUN! The liner notes (included in the download) are visually beautiful and extremely informative.
