It takes exceptional musicianship and taste to put together an album of tunes from Ireland & Appalachia that somehow stays true to both traditions and never sounds muddled. Aaron and Chris have managed a rare accomplishment, creating something both new and deeply familiar, and their mastery of multiple instruments allows for considerable variety for a duo recording. Flute with clawhammer banjo, at least in these capable hands, is a sound I never expected to love so much! Favorite track: Old Town Band.
