  1. Sunset Funeral
    by Glare
    supported by

Camilo Boudreaux I love Sunset Funeral because it feels suspended somewhere between a dream and a memory. Warm night air. City lights melting across the windshield. That strange beautiful feeling of being awake too late with people you never want the night to end around.

And Nu Burn especially feels like floating through all of it in slow motion. 🔥 Favorite track: Nü Burn.
    bricktime thumbnail
bricktime Glare is one of the best modern shoegaze bands out there and this album shows it, not a single bad track Favorite track: Guts.
    Andrew thumbnail
Andrew There are a growing number of bands in the shoegaze-influenced alt-rock scene right now, and few are doing it better than Glare. It has the dreamy, ethereal shimmer. It has the early 2000s alt-metal riffs. It has all the tone and texture you want from an album like this. I'm going to be surprised if this isn't my personal favorite shoegaze release of 2025. Texas forever. Favorite track: Turquoise Dream.

blazinballz So hard to pick a favorite. This album is journey of ups and downs, love, and growth. All tracks being unique but creating a great all around record to listen. Not to mention Saxophone Jones looking tattered but beautifully worn n colored as ever! Favorite track: Audio Sunshine ft. Blu.
    lozo77 thumbnail
lozo77 Being a huge fan of Stan and Marcus this album showed how far they came along with the craft. Masters of the Artistry is the right title for this project cause these guys together is just something amazing! Favorite track: You Don't Have No Idea.

    HerrHelmus thumbnail
HerrHelmus This record ticks all my boxes, heavy metal, traditional doom metal, death metal, a surprising cover, coming from some great musicians. It's heavy, it's haunting, and at times,it's brutal. This deserves to be in everyone's EoY list. Favorite track: Daughters of Lingering Pain.
    Piper Haqim thumbnail
Piper Haqim Hooded Menace have impressed with each outing and continue to do so again here. Favorite track: Lugubrious Dance.

Bart B Great album. I have to say that not all of Nomis’s albums have really clicked with me. Maybe it’s the beats, maybe it’s the incredible progress he’s made in his rhyme schemes. I’m not entirely sure, but there’s something about this album that really pulls me in. As a comic book fan, I really appreciate all the comic-related metaphors. I like every track. Maybe that’s the secret — fewer tracks, but each one carefully polished. Without a doubt, the best track is Emotional.

Wesley You may know him as the rapper on the Boondocks intro but there's more to Asheru than that. He's an international treasure in human form whose words compose symphonies received in numerous languages. He provides proper perspective on humanity in this worldly album. Favorite track: Gauteng (ft. Raheem Devaughn).
