Brent Davis Impressive death-doom - a subgenre I'm beginning to really dig (slow learner, me...).

Furnace Floor has that wonderful dark majesty that only extreme heaviosity seems to impart.

🤘🤘🇿🇦 Favorite track: Into the Ground.
North East Wizard Tyrant (NEWT) thumbnail
North East Wizard Tyrant (NEWT) Discovered this album when Kep from noobheavy.com was posting about it on BlueSky. I am thrilled he led me to it, because I am absolutely floored by how incredible it is. An incredibly balanced fusion of doomy tension and release, death metal heft and brutality, and biting, jagged blackened riffage. Engaging, diverse songwriting makes even the most funeral-infused parts engaging throughout.
    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X Infernal, weighty death/doom that slowly builds into something really extraordinary. Track 2 exemplifies the journey of the album as a whole and all the hellish shades contained therein. The vibe here may appeal to fans of M.S.W. (maybe), though FF is a lot more varied in style and tempo. Step into the flames!

Any time mathieu and AlexP put the same record in the feed, I perk up, tho laloumet beat all of us here ;)

Dumb mmmn As of April 2017, over 6,650 species of harvestmen have been discovered worldwide. This sounds like all of them except one (Leiobundum rotundum). That one sounds like Neurosis.
    Mister Mouse thumbnail
Mister Mouse I once saw a rare leiobundum rotundum in the wild.I take people to the place I saw it and explain the significance. Some are in awe, others want their money back for the days fishing they chartered me for. To the latter I say, shush and enjoy!!!
    narcotimus thumbnail
narcotimus A sonic seance remenicent of the forgotten dreams of a megalithic worshiping blacksmith from the Summer Isles. Or maybe kind oflike being transported to Orkney Island @midnight on the some dark and windy night and you magically had with some of that good purple windowpane from back in the mid-80's. Anyhow it's SVT. the gosh dang weirdo- not like any 4th grade teacher I ever heard about growing up 9/10 bales of barley Favorite track: Melleadh.

paulthewayup Album absolutely RIPS. Favorite track: As It Was Said.
    Michael Carter thumbnail
Michael Carter This has got to be the most, forceful, even verging on aggressive, in a passive aggressive sort of way, oozing energy . An amazing artist, it would be great to appreciate this in a physical format, but no matter, envelop me in waves of sonic bliss.....
    Elizabeth Pavlik thumbnail
Elizabeth Pavlik Finally, some good eatin'. Exactly the kind of sludgy doom I've been looking for. Favorite track: Anapanasati.
