Nickie Harte Kelly Perennial favourite of mine, Azam Ali also brings a new full release of her always sublime music. This one brings plenty of world and electronica, also folk and trance music. It explores feelings of disconnectedness (as during the pandemic), yet still conveying a sense of belonging to the spiritual. She does two cover tunes, one by Natalie Merchant, and this one, my sentimental favourite of the release, Tim Buckley’s Song to the Siren Favorite track: Song to the Siren.

gregbarr It can't be just coincidence that ear is at the center of the heart. Azam Ali's music and voice reach that ear with a message for the heart that the brain should acknowledge. I like this new direction although I miss hearing more traditional instruments within it. Thank you Azam for sharing the love. Favorite track: Witness.

Sun Thief // Adam an amazing offering - probably her best yet. production and vocals are rich and mysterious - the second track demonstrates incredible vocal growth and depth - album as a whole baroque and opaque yet alluring and catchy Favorite track: Nothing But Time.

acaDamien A moving, incredible journey. This has been a perfect soundtrack for a darkened night in the hills of Tennessee while drinking something hot and having some candles burning. Favorite track: depart / dive.

tistesimeon As with most Kauan albums, I experience a whole gamut of emotions as I listen to this. It is beautiful, haunting and... hopeful? I dunno, all I know is that Kauan are one of the most expressive and innovative bands out there at the moment and this album surely ranks among their best, with Kuu and Sorni Nai. Favorite track: soothe / sear.

killamot I loved Sorni Nai, and I can see myself falling in love with Wayhome for the same exact reasons. The atmosphere is there, and pressing play is like leaving on an adventure, and I really don't want to pause/stop before the album is done. Being a Finn I get the lyrics, but they not important; just part of the flow of the album. This is the perfect soundtrack to the end of autumn. It's dark, there is no snow in the ground yet, but you know it is coming soon and bringing light and hope with it. Favorite track: outline / pave.

Serpent Divine. I can hear Vashti Bunyan, acoustic Animal Collective, Peel Session Echo & Bunnymen, and above all, feel something larger than all of us that is absolutely beautiful. Favorite track: Messe Du Saint Esprit.

adamdugas This banger is like a cross between François Hardy, The Space Lady and Linda Perhacs. Folk, DIY indie, sweet sincerity, cool sounds. Made me want to believe. Favorite track: Messe Du Saint Esprit.
