jon_jonjonjon Just heard this song and this band for the first time today on my Pandora channel. Shit howdy. The acoustics are even and the voice is clear. The question is, am I gonna drive from PHX to LA to see them later this month? Favorite track: No Kings.

  4. Love (Expanded Edition)
    by The Cult

    meadowkamagica thumbnail
meadowkamagica While The Cult’s injection of rock’n’roll bombast into post-punk was sacrilegious to some, one can’t help but dance to the infectiousness of tracks like ‘Rain’ and ‘Hollow Man.’ There’s a sincerity to Ian Astbury’s androgynous Bowie-fied take on Jim Morrison that is absent from the machismo arena goth of The Sisters. The extent to which they influenced “grunge” is debatable, but it’s undeniable that Mother Love Bone had more in common with The Cult than Nirvana. A classic goth rock classic. Favorite track: Rain (Remastered).
    Christian Mumford thumbnail
