Ron Schrank Mark plays such great rhythm saturation. Plus a right hand metronome.

    Peter Jones thumbnail
Peter Jones Mmm, funky prog fusion! Just listen...

I'd had some Plini on just before this... and it's surprising how they gelled -- that's prog for you.

  2. Can I Tell You Something?
    by Mark Lettieri
    supported by
    Rudi thumbnail
Rudi As someone who almost sucked up funk/fusion with his mother's milk in the late seventies, I was very enthusiastic about the Mark Lettieri Quartet gig at Moods Zurich in March 2025 and of course I also really like this album.
    ToneChaser thumbnail
ToneChaser You have become one of my all time favorite guitar players. You are blessed with incredible talent Mark. The rest of the band sounds amazing as always too. Every release has been a one up, albeit the live album is still my favorite. You just kill it live!

  3. Deep: The Baritone Sessions Vol. 2
    by Mark Lettieri
    supported by
    Francesco Enrico Teofilo thumbnail
Francesco Enrico Teofilo Fantastic grooves and a deep guitar sound that lives up the expectations. There's interesting melodic material immersed in energetic funky and fusion arrangements that keep you hyped up. The first time I listened to it, I had a stank face for so long that my facial muscles hurt. Favorite track: Pulsar (feat. Robert Sput Searight).
    fataldiz thumbnail
    fataldiz never ending groove pt.2
    ojdo thumbnail
ojdo Incredibly tight funk rock, slow and fast with guest musicians galore. Red Dwarf kicks off groovy, only to be pinackled by blues'y Star Catcher mid-album. That ensemble piece clicks most for me, but the competition is hard. No fillers start to end. Favorite track: Star Catchers (feat. Steve Lukather, Jason "JT" Thomas, Wes Stephenson & Philip Lassiter and The Philthy Hornz).

    Viktor Pilkington thumbnail
Viktor Pilkington A repetition of a theme is central in jazz. The return of a familiar melody helps us get back on track after intense experimentation from the performer. In 1+3+1 the theme is repetition! This is loop-based jazz. Familiar elements stack beautifully with exciting initiatives. Everything is expertly arranged to engage. These familiar elements should help convert the most hardcore techno enthusiasts as they're embraced by interesting time signatures and great sound design. Simply a masterpiece! Favorite track: On The Lake.
    Daniel Arena thumbnail
Daniel Arena this album sees through time Favorite track: Distant Shore.
